SEEKING: Media Consultant for the PCN Grant
The Inver Grove Heights Positive Community Norms (PCN) team is seeking a Media Consultant for the grant. Review necessary education, experience, duties, and responsibilities below. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
College degree or commensurate experience in communications, public relations, graphic design or related field and experience with advertising and placement of media.
Understanding of social norms or Positive Community Norms a plus.
POSITIVE COMMUNITY NORMS MEDIA CONSULTANT
Duties and Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Attend Positive Community Norms Trainings at least two times each year, as well as participate in quarterly webinars and tech assistance opportunities.
Develop campaign materials aimed at correcting misperceptions for student, parent, teacher, and community adult audiences based on the needs of the PCN Grant Coordinator.
Maintain coalition branding.
Develop online and social media content, which may include gathering photos or information at grant-funded events.
1 website article per month
2-3 social media posts (Facebook and Instagram) per month
Review local student, parent, staff, and community survey data for the purpose of developing normative campaign messages and graphics.
Develop communication materials including print, web, radio, direct mail, billboard, promotional product, social media, press releases, etc.
4-6 print promotional materials per month
1 digital and print annual report
Promotional product design as needed (apparel, water bottles, etc.)
Develop a communication channel survey for students, staff, and other audiences.
Create a communications plan for the 2025-2026 school year based on the needs of the PCN Grant Coordinator and the community.
This position is expected to generate about 10-12 hours of work per week.
Compensation for this position will be $7,000 for consultant-based work between April 1, 2025, and June 30, 2025. There may be an opportunity to extend the position until June 30, 2026.
